Experience

As Manager of our Employee Benefits Department, Dan oversees the design and implementation of comprehensive benefit plans for our clients in a wide range of industries. He is experienced in multiple facets of group insurance, including employee benefit strategy, long range planning, budgeting, health promotion and wellness programs, and employee education and communication. He is knowledgeable in all types of funding arrangements, including self-insurance, minimum premium, and fully insured plans. Other areas of experience are global benefit issues, 401(k) plan design, and health savings accounts.

Dan began his career in benefits in 1982 as an employee benefits representative with Aetna. Prior to joining Parker, Smith & Feek, Inc. in 2011, he was with a large regional broker. Dan is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis on international finance. He is a member of the Western Pension Conference. Dan serves on the board of Pacific Medical Center and Western Washington University Foundation. He is past president of the Seattle Aquarium Society, Seattle’s Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and Washington Athletic Club’s 101 Club. He is also past chair of the Washington Athletic Club Board of Governors.
