Experience

Edward "Ed" Rhone is the Manager of the Parker, Smith & Feek Claims Department. His overall responsibility is to see that our claims reporting and processing activities are conducted expediently and final resolutions are fair and reasonable. He coordinates the work of our claims administrators to see that losses are well reported and that the adjusting process proceeds smoothly. Ed works directly with our clients to develop and implement claims reporting and claims handling procedures for their companies. Consulting projects, in conjunction with risk management personnel, are regularly undertaken to study specific loss areas and loss trends. He helps our larger clients evaluate performance levels and services of third party administrators, and can assist in the TPA selection process. Ed is a Vice President and Principal of the firm.

Throughout his 24 years of experience, Ed has worked on a broad spectrum of property and casualty losses. His experience as a claims adjuster has been particularly insightful in identifying how insurance coverages will respond to specific loss scenarios. His expertise lies in his ability to take an advocacy position on behalf of our client and facilitate the negotiations of all parties to a claim: insurance company adjusters, attorneys, and claimants. He has helped clients in construction, food processing, and healthcare work through catastrophic losses including fires, chemical spills, industrial accidents, and natural disasters. Ed has earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Claims designations from the Insurance Institute of America. He is a past President of the Puget Sound Claims Manager Council and former Membership Chairperson for the Seattle Claims Adjuster Association. Ed graduated from Western Washington University.
