Experience

Jim is a Vice President and Account Executive in our Commercial Department. He coordinates the resources within our firm to design and implement insurance programs tailored to meet the risk management objectives of his clients.

Jim works with clients from a broad range of industries, including construction, real estate, forest products, food processing, healthcare, and transportation. His expertise includes structuring large, intricate programs. Jim maintains strong relationships with underwriters who are responsive to the insurance needs of his client industries and are able to provide specialized coverages for the complex and challenging exposures inherent to them. He is an expert in complex property programs and has extensive experience in both real estate and construction contract analysis for insurance purposes. His background includes underwriting, marketing, and loss control with a major insurance carrier and that experience makes Jim a strong, adept client advocate in negotiations with underwriters.

Jim has more than twenty years experience in the insurance industry and has been with Parker, Smith & Feek since 2008. He participates in trade and professional associations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Jim is a graduate of the University of Washington.
