Senior Account Administrator
Linda Lira is a Senior Account Administrator in our Construction Services Department. She reviews bid specifications and construction contract documents to help identify potential exposures to loss and financial hardship arising out of the specific features of the construction project, and the insurance provisions contained in the contract documents which relate to project specific coverages including builder’s risk. Linda and her associates also market and place builder’s risk and railroad protective liability insurance policies for our firm.
Linda works with contractors, project owners, and property developers who rely on our firm to provide risk management services, as well as the placement of project specific insurance coverages. In collaboration with the account team, she evaluates contracts and requests for proposals, determines required project specific insurance coverages, and secures premium indications on a project basis. Linda and the construction services team are responsible for the marketing, placement, and administration of builder’s risk and railroad protective liability policies for the duration of the project term. In addition to project specific builder’s risk policies, Linda places blanket builder’s risk coverage when such policies will provide our clients with a competitive edge. She maintains strong relationships with underwriters who specialize in course of construction coverages, resulting in a diverse and responsive market for our clients.
Linda began her insurance career in 1986, and worked with two national carriers, Safeco and Fireman’s Fund, where she gained experience in underwriting and claims. She has been with Parker, Smith & Feek since 2000. Previous roles she has held at Parker, Smith & Feek include Senior Account Manager where she specialized in complex construction and real estate accounts. She honed her lease and contract review skills in this role. Linda also has played a leadership role in our firm’s quality control, procedures, and training programs. She holds the Associate in Underwriting (AU) professional designation.
