Home fires spread incredibly quickly now, due to newer homes with wide open areas and the use of synthetic materials in both buildings and furnishings. Several decades ago, a family would have up to 15 or 20 minutes to evacuate. Now, they may have only 2 or 3 minutes. So, it’s vitally important to stay up to date on the risks and to know what to do in the event of a fire.
