Washington State Amends Proclamations 20-05 and 20-46

Washington Governor Jay Inslee extended proclamations 20-05 and 20-46, requiring accommodation of high-risk employees to protect against COVID-19 until at least August 1, 2020. Read the proclamation to learn more.

Washington State Emergency Order Extended

For fully insured plans, the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner extends Emergency Order 20-01 to July 3 for waived deductibles and covered COVID-19 testing. Insurers must also continue allowing a one-time early refill for prescriptions and suspend prior authorization requirements for treatment of COVID-19. If a plan does not have enough medical providers in its network to provide COVID-19 testing or treatment, it must allow out-of-network services within a reasonable distance at no additional cost.
