Alec is an Account Executive in our Surety Department, responsible for the overall surety needs of his clients.

Alec specializes in surety bonds for general and specialty contractors, helping his clients maximize available bond credit while mitigating risk. In addition to serving the bond needs of his clients, Alec is a valuable resource for a wide range of business issues that his clients face in an everchanging world, including market/project risk analysis and mitigation, contract negotiation, and other internal business issues such as perpetuation, estimating, and cost accounting systems. His prior experience at a leading surety company makes him a strong, influential client advocate in negotiations with surety underwriters.

Originally from the island of Maui, Hawaii, Alec attended the University of Washington where he received his B.A. in business administration with a concentration in finance from the Michael G. Foster School of Business. Alec began his surety career at Liberty Mutual in Seattle, where he quickly developed a strong surety acumen and ascended the ranks to become a senior contract surety underwriter. In that position, Alec managed the surety programs of contractors throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan, as well as several national and international contractors on the ENR Top 400.

Alec is an active member of the Association of General Contractors (AGC), National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP), Surety Association of Washington (SAW), and Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
