Experience

As a Senior Claims Executive, Edie manages the claims process and serves as an advocate on behalf of our clients. Her overall responsibility is to see that our claims reporting and processing activities are conducted expediently, and that the final resolution is fair and reasonable.

Edie has 30 years of claims experience and brings both a breadth and depth of experience to her role as claims executive. She has substantial experience in a wide range of coverages, including property, casualty, marine, and aviation. Drawing upon her experience as a claims adjuster, Edie is adept at evaluating how insurance coverages will respond to specific loss scenarios.

As an expert in large, complex claims, Edie coordinates negotiations between all parties to a claim: insureds, claimants, insurance company adjusters, and attorneys. She assists our clients in collecting and submitting the information and documentation necessary for claims resolution.

In addition to overseeing the claims process, Edie works directly with our clients to develop and implement claims reporting and handling procedures for their companies. She also teaches claims seminars for our Clients.

Edie began her insurance career in 1992 as a claim professional working with three major insurance companies. She also has claims management experience with another broker before joining Parker, Smith & Feek in 2022. There she focused predominately in construction, professional, EPLI, D&O, and property (builder’s risk, inland marine) on high exposure, high profile, and sensitive tort claims. Edie earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Edie holds Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Legal Principles Claim Specialist (LPCS) professional designations.
