Principal, Vice President, Claims Manager
Ed is a Principal, Vice President, and the Manager of our Claims Department. His overall responsibility is to see that claims reporting and processing activities are conducted expediently and that final resolutions are fair and reasonable. He coordinates the work of our claims staff and ensures that the adjusting process proceeds smoothly.
Ed’s particular expertise is his ability to act as our client’s advocate and facilitate negotiations between all parties to a claim: insureds, claimants, insurance company adjusters, and attorneys. He has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of property and casualty losses, including helping clients manage catastrophic losses caused by fire, chemical spills, industrial accidents, and natural disasters. Ed’s background also includes substantial experience in workers’ compensation, professional liability, errors and omissions, directors and officers, and employment practices liability. He has experience with a wide range of industries, including construction, food processing, healthcare and life sciences, environmental, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, and technology.
Ed has over 35 years of claims experience and joined Parker, Smith & Feek in 2001. Ed holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) professional designations. He is a past president of the Puget Sound Claims Manager Council and a fellow of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Ed is also a graduate of Western Washington University.
