Experience

As a management liability insurance specialist in the Commercial Department, Janie is persistent with tailoring risk management solutions for her clients. Based on each client’s individual needs and desires, she’ll design unique service models, negotiate coverage, and facilitate relationships with our dedicated insurance market. She is committed to fostering her current relationships, as well as expanding with future relationships, to cultivate an evolving ecosystem.

Janie joined Parker, Smith & Feek in 2019, and with her diverse background, she specializes in a wide range of commercial industries such as health and welfare trusts, unions, pension plans, oil and gas, real estate development, hospitality, and construction.

Janie holds the Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) designation. Additionally, she is active with numerous groups within Parker, Smith & Feek, as well as the community. She is currently the director of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, a member of the Directors and Officers Committee, a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Anchorage (BOMA), a member of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, and a proud Rotarian. She is a notary public for the State of Alaska and has had a written publication in the local Alaska Business Magazine titled “Busting the Myths About Cyber Insurance” that was published in July 2022.

Janie was born in Anchorage, raised in Fairbanks, and lived in five different states throughout her life. Her personal interests include traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying many different cuisines so she can live out her “real dream” of being a food connoisseur. She has a beautiful seven-year-old daughter named Yili and a one-year-old Bichon Frise/Poodle named Mandu.
