Experience

Jennifer Barrat is a Vice President and Account Executive in our Commercial Department and a member of our Real Estate Practice Group. She coordinates the resources within Parker, Smith & Feek to design and implement insurance programs tailored to meet the risk management objectives of her clients. Jennifer directs our account teams in risk analysis, exposure reviews, and account market strategies to provide cost effective and comprehensive insurance solutions.

Jennifer works with some of our most complex and challenging real estate and property accounts. She is an expert in structuring risk management programs for mixed-use, commercial, retail, industrial, and residential exposures. She also specializes in complex wrap-up placements for multi-family projects of all types (apartments, condominiums, and townhomes). As a specialist in accounts headquartered in the Pacific Northwest and along the West Coast, Jennifer’s expertise extends to earth movement, flood, wind, and other catastrophic property exposures. She has been instrumental in building complex property programs including quota share and layered programs. She offers a full range of support and educational services tailored to our real estate clients, utilizing both in-house and third-party resources: property valuation tools, earthquake modeling, deductible and limit analysis, and assistance with allocation methodology.

Jennifer has an A.A. degree, holds the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) professional designations, and is currently working toward Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. She enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, long scenic walks with her dog, Macie.
