John Schmidt

Vice President, Account Executive

Experience

John is a Vice President of the firm and an Account Executive in our Real Estate Practice Group. He works with our account service teams to develop responsive insurance programs that address the special needs of a diverse group of clients, including real estate, technology, non-profit, healthcare, financial institutions, and manufacturing corporations. John has extensive experience and expertise in several areas of insurance coverage, including property, professional liability, and directors & officers liability. He began his career in 1985 as a loss prevention engineer and then as an underwriter and head of office for a national property insurer. Those experiences have provided valuable insights and skills for evaluating risks and negotiating insurance coverages with carriers.

John joined Parker Smith & Feek in 2007, after working with a large, global brokerage firm. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He has also completed graduate level business courses at Drexel University and Seattle Pacific University. John is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and Affiliated FM Broker Advisory Council and formerly lead our Real Estate Practice Group
