Kari Justad

Senior Account Manager, Compliance Manager

Experience

Along with being a Senior Account Manager, Kari is Parker, Smith & Feek’s in-house compliance expert and helps guide clients through the complex landscape of compliance.

She has extensive knowledge of the various compliance rules and regulatory issues that affect employee benefit plans and stays up to date on both state and federal regulations. Kari helps both clients and staff understand the complexities involved in administering a group plan and distills the legal terminology down to everyday English. She also works collaboratively with our contracted attorneys and compliance specialists at Benefit Comply.

Kari joined Parker, Smith & Feek in 1997 with experience in insurance underwriting and plan administration, with her overall experience spanning 28 years in the employee benefits field. Kari has a Bachelor of Arts in international studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Norwegian language and literature from the University of Washington. She also holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) professional designation.
