Experience

Ryan is a Vice President and Account Executive in our Commercial Department, and leads our Healthcare Practice Group. He coordinates the services and resources of our firm to design and implement insurance and risk management programs that meets the objectives of our clients. Risk analysis, exposure review, and market selection are all areas in which Ryan directs our account teams to ensure that we are providing the best possible protection for the people and assets of our clients.

Ryan designs solutions to effectively and economically manage risks associated with the delivery of healthcare. Ryan works with some of the largest and most well recognized names in healthcare delivery throughout the Pacific Northwest, including health systems, hospitals, behavioral health, and multi-specialty and single specialty provider groups. Ryan has a decade of experience placing insurance and reinsurance with London, Bermuda, and all domestic markets. Ryan’s creditability and premium volume that he places annually have earned him a reputation as a tenacious negotiator that produces optimal outcomes for his clients.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ryan volunteers and fundraises for community organizations such as the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation and Folds of Honor. He also serves on the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He has numerous military citations, including the Navy’s Commendation Medal. He was named by Business Insurance Magazine as a 2013 “Top 40 Regional Broker Leaders Under 40,” as well as Puget Sound Business Journal 2015 “40 Under 40.” Ryan is active in several professional industry groups including the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM), Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), Assurex Global Healthcare Practice, and the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA).

Ryan holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation from the Insurance Institute of America, and a B.S. in political science from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Ryan enjoys snow skiing, cooking, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his family. He resides in Snoqualmie with his wife, Sarah, and their three young children.
