Experience

Jim Waskom is an Account Executive in our Commercial Insurance Department and a Vice President of Parker, Smith & Feek. In this capacity, he is responsible for coordinating the resources of the firm to provide responsive services that meet the needs of his clients. He works with our account teams to develop innovative insurance programs with competitive pricing that help his clients reduce their total cost of risk.

Jim has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience. His early experience and training was as an underwriter for major forest products accounts throughout the Northwest. He broadened his industry focus to include a cross section of commercial businesses including construction, food processing, real estate, healthcare, and transportation. Jim has established strong relationships with the underwriters that support these industries and has specialized in arranging insurance coverage for complex and challenging businesses in these fields. An important part of Jim's expertise for these clients has been in structuring large, intricate property programs. He is active in insurance industry continuing education and participates in trade and professional associations including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Jim is a graduate of the University of Washington.
