Experience

Jim leads our Commercial Insurance Department and sits on the firm's Board of Directors. Jim is recognized for both his experience in the area of risk management and commercial insurance for large construction companies and for his knowledge in directors & officers liability for publicly traded companies. Jims clients include some of the regions most prominent construction companies, large technology companies and publicly traded companies.

Jim began his insurance career in 1987 at Aetna Casualty & Surety Company based in Seattle and then moved to the insurance brokerage sector of the industry in 1991, joining Parker, Smith & Feek in 1998. Jim received his BA in business administration, specializing in finance and marketing, from the University of Washington in 1987. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from the Society of Insurance Counselors in 1992 and his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation in 2006.
