Vice President, Account Executive

Experience

David is an account executive in our Commercial Department, working with clients in various industries, such as general contractors, specialty contractors, developers, real estate, and private equity firms. As an account executive, he leads the effort in combining the resources available within our firm to tailor insurance programs to meet the risk management needs of the clients he serves.

Since joining Parker, Smith & Feek, David has managed insurance programs for clients mostly in the construction marketplace. Managing these programs has allowed him the opportunity to guide clients through their risk management efforts with a proactive approach to risk control, claims management, negotiations with underwriters, and mitigation of risks present in construction and development operations.

David joined Parker, Smith & Feek in the beginning of 2023, departing a strong Bellingham brokerage firm where he was a commercial insurance broker. Starting at 18, while beginning college at Western Washington University, David began his insurance career as an intern at Rice Insurance and never looked back. Transitioning to a full-time producer role at Rice upon graduating gave him a deep understanding of what commercial businesses face by becoming a valued partner in their business operations. He has extensive knowledge of a few subject matter areas, including construction risk, surety bonds, development, real estate, and private equity.

David believes that continuing his insurance education is vital to staying ahead of new and emerging risks. He is currently pursuing the ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist) designations. David will also be involved with the Associated General Contractors of Washington as well as participating in the Construction Leadership Council of Washington and the Construction Financial Management Association. He will also be participating in the Young Professionals Group via the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce.
