Lauren is an account executive in King & Neel’s Surety Department, responsible for the overall surety needs of her clients.

Lauren specializes in surety bonds for general and specialty contractors, helping clients maximize available bond credit while mitigating risk. Lauren is a valuable resource for a wide range of business issues her clients face, including market and project risk analysis and mitigation, contract negotiation, and other internal business issues like perpetuation, estimating, and cost accounting systems. Lauren’s background as a regional bond manager at a leading surety company makes her a strong, adept client advocate in negotiations with underwriters. She also has an extensive background in commercial surety, giving her vast knowledge of various types of bond obligations.

Lauren was born and raised in Honolulu and is a graduate of Iolani School. She attended California State University, Long Beach, earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration. Lauren was a four-year starter and team captain on the indoor volleyball team while at Long Beach State, and in 2013, her team won a national championship in beach volleyball. Lauren began her surety career at The Hartford in California, where she held various underwriting positions until eventually working her way up to be a regional manager for the Western territory.

Lauren is a member of the Association of General Contractors (AGC), National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), and Women in Surety (WIS). Lauren has served as a panelist guest speaker at several surety industry events.
