Experience

Rich is an elite account executive II in our Commercial Department, working primarily with clients in the construction industry, such as general contractors, specialty contractors, and developers. As an account executive, he leads the effort to combine the resources available within our firm to tailor insurance programs to meet the risk management needs of the clients he serves. He also leads the day-to-day requests and needs of clients.

Before joining Parker, Smith & Feek, Rich managed insurance programs for clients in the construction marketplace. Managing these programs has allowed him to guide clients through risk management efforts with a proactive approach to risk control, claims management, negotiations with underwriters, and mitigation of risks in construction and development operations. Rich’s construction background makes him a natural fit for our construction team.

Rich joined Parker, Smith & Feek in September 2023. Rich has been in the commercial insurance industry since 2015, having worked for three Insurance Journal Top 100 Agencies. In the last two years, he focused on construction-related risks. He earned his Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation during that time.

Rich believes continuing his insurance education is vital to staying ahead of emerging risks and marketplace changes. He recently completed his CRIS designation and is set on an additional designation to pursue in 2024. Community involvement is an important aspect of his lifestyle. Rich volunteers with Friends of Red Rocks, a not-for-profit that focuses on sustaining the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater by focusing on cleanup initiatives, recycling programs, and boots-on-the-ground awareness for park and amphitheater patrons. During winter, Rich volunteers with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), which focuses on empowering people with disabilities to participate in ski-related sports.
