Experience

Scott is a Vice President and Account Executive in our Surety Department. He supports contractors in reaching their goals by enhancing their bonding relationships and programs while improving the overall experience of obtaining surety credit. His long term, relational approach allows him to leverage his underwriting and risk assessment expertise to improve the support contractors receive from bonding companies through every business cycle. This allows Scott’s clients the peace of mind, knowing they are working with a knowledgeable advocate that is truly a partner in their business.

Scott has helped companies of all shapes and sizes, from local start-ups to those with revenues exceeding $1 billion and worldwide operations, with a common theme of partnership and trust. He has a keen appreciation for how surety bonding can impact companies and families and takes his responsibility in the process very seriously.

Scott began his career at Safeco in 1999 and has accumulated nearly 20 years of underwriting experience. He has worked for the three largest surety companies in the country (Safeco, Zurich, and CNA), culminating in his role as director for a regional office spanning Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana. His time spent in the underwriting chair is of unparalleled value for brokers within the region and provides him a unique and fresh perspective in solving challenging surety credit needs and bonding requirements.

Scott furthers his impact and promotion of the construction industry through his volunteer work and sitting on the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors. Scott is licensed in all 50 states to support his clientele with operations that span the globe. When not helping his clients reach their goals, Scott enjoys time around the water, golf course, various sporting events, but with family (wife and two sons), always close by.
